Welcome to 2012, DUPE!

I realized the last post on here was made over a year ago and thought I should rectify that. More posts are hopefully forthcoming in the upcoming year!

Duke Webspace!

First of all, happy 2011, everyone! :)

We've finally acquired an official Duke webspace. It's located at http://www.duke.edu/web/dupe/, so please direct your friends to this URL. It's going to just redirect to this website for now, but it might be easier to remember (and is more official-looking) than our blogspot address.

Here's to a great semester!

DUPE in the Chronicle

Hey guys!

If you haven't gotten a chance to check out the Tuesday, November 9 Chronicle, there's a neat little article called "Arts Festival ends two-week run" that features DUPE pretty prominently. Check it out here if you get a chance!

Keep up the great work, DUPE!

David

We are on the Duke arts website~

Good news! Dr.Lindroth has put our video of "On the road" on the official Duke Arts website! Here
Also, I have posted "Me Tarzan" on Youtube for those who are interested to see how it turned out.  David is trying to put up some cool new features for this blog, so stay tuned~ :D

Duke Arts Festival: On the Road

This week (AND LAST WEEK TOO!) was the Duke Arts Festival, and DUPE was pleased to put on several performances for the event. The video below shows our ImprovEverywhere-style percussion performance on the C-1 from Monday, 11/1/2010. It's even cooler in person. :P

More videos to be added soon!

Video Archive!

Here are some videos from our esteemed past, presented in chronological order. Hope you enjoy the trip through memory lane. :) For reference, most of these can also be found in the "Videos" section of the sidebar.

A special shout out to our alumni Alex Wang and David Eisenband, whose dedication and energy helped us get off the ground.

Hopefully we'll have lots more to add to this list in the coming months. :D

An awesome tidbit

Just wanted to share something cool: About a month ago, I received a comment on this Death By Oooga Booga recording from the Duke Chamber Players concert in the fall. Turns out the commenter was Edward Freytag, the composer of the piece. I'm not sure how he came across the video, but it's quite remarkable for the composer to have paid us a visit. Check out Mr. Freytag's page here.

Anyway, best wishes to everyone this summer!
